DIY Kitty Lipstick

Inspired by those adorable Paul & Joe lipsticks, I thought I'd try to make my own kitty lipstick.

You will need

A lipstick
Toothpick
Paper towel
Qtips/Cotton wool buds for those of you in the UK

1. Remove the tip of the lipstick. You want the top to be flat. You can use a butter knife or a toothpick-- by running the middle of the toothpick across the top in a straight line.

2. Make a "U" shape in the center of the lipstick, and remove that chunk. Be sure to do this on the back of the lipstick.

It should look something like this
3. Carve the face using the toothpick. You can use the paper towel to wipe off the toothpick between dots/lines.

4. Use the Qtips to smooth the tips of the ears.

5. You're done! Here's how my kitty turned out. :)
Note
-----
This DIY is just for fun & novelty! I wouldn't recommend doing it on an expensive lipstick or one you use often.

If you give this a try Tweet me a photo of your kitty lipstick @VintageMakeupVM

  2. This is really cute! I like the kitty lipsticks but can't bring myself to shell out the dough for one. This would be a really neat DIY gift for a cat lover!

    1. Thank you Sarah! I've wanted one of those forever, but I also can't bring myself to spend that much on a lipstick. :)
